My goal as a content strategist for Meta’s user support sites was always to create inclusive and user-friendly content. Early on, I noticed our content wasn’t consistently accessible for people using assistive technology.

I created a team to address these issues and help prioritize accessibility from the start. I lead a team of content strategists in auditing our site using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 standards, leading to improvements in color contrast, accuracy for screen readers and hyperlink quality across our help centers. One project that stands out to me: adding alternative text to over 3,000 icons we used in our content.
